5-Minute Sugar Snap Peas

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 pound fresh sugar snap peas, with stem end and strings removed from each pod
  • 1/2 teaspoon black cracked pepper
  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt, plus extra to serve
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional

Directions

Step 1 –Heat the butter and oil together in a large pan over medium-high heat.

Step 2 –Once the butter melts, add the snap peas and toss them in the pan to coat them in the butter and oil mixture.

Step 3 –Season to taste with pepper, salt, and cayenne.

Step 4 –Sauté until the snap peas are tender and crisp, about 4-5 minutes.

Step 5 –Transfer the peas to a serving bowl and season with additional pepper and coarse salt to serve.
