Everyone will be parading around these super tender apples covered in a cinnamon-y and syrupy sauce, that’s covered with the most delicious, golden crisp topping! Ingredients
For the apple filling:
- 10 cups all-purpose apples, peeled and cored, sliced
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup water
For the oat topping:
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- vanilla ice cream, optional, to taste, for serving

Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 –Place the apples in a 9×13-inch pan.
Step 3 –In a bowl, mix the white sugar, 1 tablespoon of the flour, and the ground cinnamon together.
Step 4 –Sprinkle the cinnamon mixture over the apples.
Step 5 –Evenly pour the water over the apple mixture.
Step 6 –In another bowl, combine the oats, the remaining flour, the brown sugar, the baking powder, the baking soda, and the melted butter together.
Step 7 –Evenly spread the oat mixture over the apple mixture.
Step 8 –Bake the crisp until warm and golden on top, about 45 minutes.
Step 9 –Serve the crisp with the vanilla ice cream.
