The chicken is beautifully spiced and grilled until savory and juicy, so it’s already excellent by the time it’s hot off the grill. But it’s Bang-Bang Chicken Skewers, so it needs some creamy, spicy, tangy Bang-Bang sauce drizzled all over it, too! Oh yes, these skewers are going to meet your taste buds with a bang!
Ingredients
- olive oil, to taste, for oiling the grill grates
- 2 pounds chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
- garlic powder, to taste
- onion powder, to taste
- cayenne pepper, to taste
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- red pepper flakes, optional, to taste
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons Japanese mayonnaise
Directions
Step 1 –Using the olive oil, generously oil the grill grates.
Step 2 –Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Step 3 –In a bowl, season the chicken pieces with the garlic powder, the onion powder, the cayenne pepper, the salt, the pepper, and the red pepper flakes, tossing so all sides of the chicken pieces are seasoned.
Step 4 –Place the chicken pieces on either metal or soaked wooden skewers, keeping them close together but not overcrowding them.
Step 5 –Place the chicken skewers on the grill and cook, flipping once, until the meat reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
Step 6 –In a bowl, combine the sweet chili sauce and the Japanese mayonnaise.
Step 7 –Take the chicken skewers off the grill and brush them on all sides with the sauce mixture, while they’re still hot.
Step 8 –Serve.
