Just imagine it: the chicken is juicy and tender, seasoned with zesty steak seasoning and wrapped with a crunchy strip of bacon. Then everything is coated in tangy, sweet, and smoky barbecue sauce. Ingredients
- 6 bacon strips
- 3/4 pound chicken breasts, boneless and skinless, cut into 1-inch cubes (about 18)
- 3 teaspoons Montreal Steak® Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish, optional
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Step 2 –Cut the bacon crosswise into thirds.
Step 3 –Place the bacon on a microwave-safe plate lined with paper towels and cover with additional paper towels.
Step 4 –Microwave the bacon on high until partially-cooked but not crisp.
Step 5 –Place the chicken in a small bowl.
Step 6 –Sprinkle the chicken with the steak seasoning, tossing to coat.
Step 7 –Wrap a bacon piece around each chicken cube, securing them with a toothpick.
Step 8 –Place the chicken cubes on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes.
Step 9 –Add the horseradish to the barbecue sauce. Brush the barbecue mixture over the chicken.
Step 10 –Bake until the chicken is cooked through at 165 degrees F internally and the bacon is crisp, for about 5-10 minutes.
Step 11 –Serve hot.
