Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup reduced-fat mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 4 (4-ounce) chicken breast halves, boneless and skinless
  • 1/2 teaspoon Montreal steak seasoning
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 whole-wheat hamburger buns, split
  • 2 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
  • lettuce leaves, optional, to taste, for serving
  • tomato slices, optional, to taste, for serving

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the grill to medium heat. Alternatively, preheat the broiler.

Step 2 –In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, the Dijon mustard, and the honey.

Step 3 –Pound the chicken breasts with a meat mallet to 1/2-inch thickness.

Step 4 –Sprinkle the chicken with the steak seasoning.

Step 5 –Grill the chicken, covered, or broil 4 inches from heat until a thermometer reads 165 degrees F, about 4-6 minutes on each side.

Step 6 –Top the chicken with the Swiss cheese during the last 1 minute of cooking.

Step 7 –Grill the buns over medium heat, cut-side down, until toasted, about 30-60 seconds.

Step 8 –Place the chicken on the buns with the bacon, the mayonnaise mixture, the lettuce, and the tomato slices.

Step 9 –Serve.
