Betty White’s Chicken Wings are marinated in a deeply savory, smoky-sweet, and extremely rich sauce that brings out the best of the chicken’s flavor. Best of all, Betty White’s Chicken Wings are spectacularly easy to make. Just marinate and bake and voilà! These wings are sure to help your tastebuds take flight!
Ingredients
- 3 pounds chicken wings
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder, optional
Directions
Step 1 –Arrange the wings in a shallow baking pan.
Step 2 –In a saucepan over medium heat, heat the butter, the soy sauce, the brown sugar, the water, the mustard, and the garlic powder until the butter and the sugar melt.
Step 3 –Allow the sauce mixture to cool.
Step 4 –Pour the sauce mixture over the wings and allow them to marinate for at least 2 hours and up to overnight, turning the wings once or twice.
Step 5 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 6 –Bake the wings in the same pan until the wings are cooked through at 165 degrees F, about 1 hour 15 minutes-1 hour 30 minutes.
Step 7 –Drain the wings on paper towels.
Step 8 –Serve.
