Ingredients
For the biscuits:
- 3 cups baking mix, such as Bisquick
- 3/4 cup whole milk, plus more, to taste
- 2 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
For the optional glaze:
- 2 tablespoons whipping cream, plus more, to taste
- 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted, plus more, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
Step 2 –In a large bowl, add the biscuit mix, 3/4 cup of the milk, the sugar, and the cinnamon and mix until combined, taking care not to overmix.
Step 3 –If the mixture seems too dry, add the extra milk, a little at a time.
Step 4 –Using a large cookie scoop or ice cream scoop, scoop out equal portions of the dough and drop the biscuits onto a baking sheet or a large skillet, about 1-2 inches apart.
Step 5 –Bake until the biscuits turn golden-brown, about 12-15 minutes.
Step 6 –In a medium mixing bowl, add 2 tablespoons of the whipping cream, 1 cup of the powdered sugar, and the vanilla and whisk to combine.
Step 7 –If the frosting seems too thick, add the extra cream, a little at a time. If it seems too thin, add the extra powdered sugar, a little at a time.
Step 8 –Drizzle the glaze over the warm biscuits.
Step 9 –Serve warm.
