Bourbon Christmas Balls are a very different kind of dessert for this holiday season, but definitely one worthy of making an appearance at your Christmas party! It’s like a sweet, delicious cocktail in ball form! The rich, smoky flavor of the bourbon infuses each buttery, vanilla-flavored sweet loaded with crunchy pecans. Then, each one is coated in a distinct flavor, like cocoa, powdered sugar, and even more pecans, kind of like rimming a cocktail glass for an extra flavor bomb! Bourbon Christmas Balls are a breeze to make and a festive addition to your holiday spread!

Ingredients
For the bourbon balls:
- 1 1/2 cups vanilla wafers, crushed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 1 tablespoon corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
For the toppings:
- 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 1/4 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder

Directions
Step 1 –In large bowl, add the wafers, the butter, the bourbon, the corn syrup, the vanilla extract, 2 cups of the confectioners’ sugar, 1/2 cup of the pecans, and the salt and stir to combine.
Step 2 –Cover the bowl and chill until firm, about 30 minutes.
Step 3 –In a shallow bowl or rimmed plate, add the remaining confectioners’ sugar.
Step 4 –In a separate shallow bowl or rimmed plate, add the remaining pecans.
Step 5 –In a third shallow bowl or rimmed plate, add the cocoa powder.
Step 6 –Transfer the wafer mixture from the refrigerator and shape it into 1-inch balls. You should get about 30-33 balls.
Step 7 –Roll 1/3 of the balls in the powdered sugar, 1/3 of the balls in the pecans, and 1/3 of the balls in the cocoa powder.
Step 8 –Serve.
