Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups panko breadcrumbs
- 5 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 tablespoons parmesan, grated
- 2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
- kosher salt, to taste
- freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 4 (3/4-inch-thick) pork chops, bone-in
- 1 tablespoon water
- lemon wedges, optional, for serving
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
Step 2 –Combine the panko, the oil, the parmesan, the Italian seasoning, the salt, and the pepper in a large, resealable bag.
Step 3 –Place the pork chops in a large bowl and toss them with 1 tablespoon of the water.
Step 4 –Place the pork chops in the bag and shake well to coat them, pressing the breadcrumb mixture firmly into the meat.
Step 5 –Place the pork chops on a wire rack set on a baking sheet.
Step 6 –Top the pork chops with any remaining breadcrumbs in the bag.
Step 7 –Bake until the breadcrumbs are dark golden-brown, with the internal temperature of the pork registering at 145 degrees F when tested with an instant-read thermometer, about 15-20 minutes.
Step 8 –Serve immediately with the lemon wedges.
