You’ve obviously heard of a fudgy brownie and you’re probably familiar with the peanut buttery, Midwestern treat called buckeyes. Well, we decided to get crazy one day and thought it’d be a pretty amazing idea to put those lovely, sweet treats together. And just like that, these Buckeye Brownies were born. So, if you’re looking for the absolute perfect ratio of creamy peanut butter poured on top of rich, chocolatey brownies, then you’ll be as flabbergasted by these Buckeye Brownies as we are!
Ingredients
- 1 box brownie mix, plus the ingredients called for on box
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup plus 6 tablespoons butter, softened, divided
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
Directions
Step 1 –Mix and bake the brownie mix in a 9×13-inch baking pan, according to the box instructions. Let them cool.
Step 2 –In a bowl, add the powdered sugar, 1/2 cup of the butter, and the peanut butter and mix well.
Step 3 –Spread the peanut butter mixture over the brownies and pat down on the top.
Step 4 –Melt the chocolate chips and the remaining butter in a saucepan over low heat and stir occasionally.
Step 5 –Spread the chocolate mixture over the peanut butter layer and let cool.
Step 6 –Serve.
