Ingredients
- 1 (16-ounce) package long egg noodles
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 head cabbage, cored and chopped
- salt, to taste
- ground black pepper, to taste

Directions
Step 1 –In a large pot of salted, boiling water, add the egg noodles and cook, while stirring occasionally, until they are tender but still slightly firm, about 5 minutes.
Step 2 –Drain the noodles well.
Step 3 –In a large skillet or wok over medium heat, melt the butter.
Step 4 –Add the onion and cook, while stirring, until browned, about 8 minutes.
Step 5 –Add the cabbage to the onion mixture and cook until the cabbage has wilted, about 5-8 minutes.
Step 6 –Add the noodles to the cabbage mixture and gently stir to combine.
Step 7 –Season the cabbage mixture with the salt and the black pepper.
Step 8 –Serve.
