Ingredients
- 3 cups shell noodles, uncooked
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, finely diced
- 1/3 cup red bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 10 3/4 ounces condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1 1/3 cups milk
- 3 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
- 3 cups chicken, cooked
- 4 ounces mild green chiles
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2 –Cook the pasta to al dente according to package directions.
Step 3 –In a skillet over medium heat, cook the onion and red bell pepper until tender and the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
Step 4 –Add the seasoning salt and chili powder, stirring to combine.
Step 5 –In a mixing bowl, combine the soup, onion mixture, milk, 2 cups of the cheddar cheese, and the parmesan cheese, mixing well.
Step 6 –Stir in the chicken, cooked pasta, and green chiles.
Step 7 –Pour the mixture into a 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Step 8 –Top with the remaining cheese.
Step 9 –Bake until bubbly, about 30-35 minutes.
