Perhaps what happened was that people realized they could make their own amazing frozen yogurt right from home! Cherry Frozen Yogurt Bites is just one scrumptious example; each bite has a creaminess and distinct yogurt tang elevated with the sweetness of maple syrup and the brightness and tartness of cherries. Using coconut yogurt only makes Cherry Frozen Yogurt Bites even more refreshing and welcome on any dessert table. Bite into these frozen fancies and let your tastebuds feel the amazement.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup cherries, fresh or frozen and pitted
- 2 (5.3-ounce) containers coconut-flavored yogurt, preferably Greek or Nordic
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or agave nectar
- 2 tablespoons shredded coconut, optional
Directions
Step 1 –In a food processor, purée the cherries.
Step 2 –In a small bowl, mix together the yogurt and the maple syrup.
Step 3 –Using a muffin tin, add a spoonful of the yogurt mixture to each muffin cup.
Step 4 –Add a spoonful of the puréed cherries to each muffin cup on top of the yogurt mixture.
Step 5 –Cover the cherry layers with more of the yogurt mixture and repeat the layers until the muffin tins are full.
Step 6 –Sprinkle each muffin cup with the shredded coconut.
Step 7 –Freeze the yogurt bites for at least 2 hours.
Step 8 –Serve.
