Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 cups brown sugar, packed
- 2/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups pecans, chopped
- confectioners’ sugar, optional, to taste, for topping
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 –Pour the melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking pan.
Step 3 –In a large bowl, add the brown sugar, the flour, the eggs, the vanilla, the baking soda, and the salt and mix well to combine.
Step 4 –Add the pecans to the batter and stir to combine.
Step 5 –Spread the batter into the greased pan.
Step 6 –Bake until the bars are cooked through, about 30-35 minutes.
Step 7 –Immediately dust the bars with the confectioners’ sugar.
Step 8 –Allow the bars to cool for 20 minutes.
Step 9 –Slice and serve.
