Chicken Tot Pie

Chicken pot pie is getting a fun little tasty makeover, so you’re in for a savory treat! Chicken Tot Pie keeps the beloved tender veggies and juicy shredded chicken we all know and love about this creamy nostalgic staple… but it becomes, dare we say, more nostalgic? The yummy filling sits on top of your favorite crumbly and buttery crackers and is topped with crispy, potato-y tater tots to add a crunch that will really take you back. Change can be hard sometimes, but Chicken Tot Pie is delicious proof that your childhood favorites can get even better!

Ingredients

  • 40 buttery crackers, crumbled
  • 3 cups chicken, cooked and shredded
  • 1 cup yellow onion, diced
  • 1 (8.25-ounce) can mixed vegetables, drained
  • 2 (10.5-ounce) cans condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 24 ounces frozen tater tots

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 2 –Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Step 3 –Place the crumbled crackers at the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Step 4 –In a large bowl, thoroughly combine the chicken, the onion, the mixed veggies, the cream of chicken soup, the salt, the pepper, the garlic powder, and the onion powder.

Step 5 –Evenly spoon the chicken mixture on top of the crumbled crackers.

Step 6 –Top the chicken mixture with the tater tots.

Step 7 –Bake until the tater tots are golden brown, about 40-45 minutes.

Step 8 –Serve.
