When the fancy neighbor asks you over for drinks, you absolutely must go! His specialty? This Chocolate Martini! And it will completely blow your chocolate-loving mind! He effortlessly fills his cocktail shaker with a shot of vivacious vanilla vodka, a generous splash of some amazing chocolate liqueur, a good pour of delicious crème de cacao, and a bit of heavy cream. He then quickly engages his famous shaking motion (it’s all in the wrist apparently, haha) to create the creamiest chocolate drink of a lifetime! Topped with grated dark chocolate and a hint of nutmeg, Chocolate Martini is famously his drink-favorite made for all to enjoy. He sure loves shaking things up a bit!
Ingredients
- chocolate syrup, to taste
- dark chocolate, to taste, grated
- 1 ounce vanilla vodka
- 1 ounce crème de cacao
- 1 ounce chocolate liqueur
- 1/2 ounce heavy cream, can substitute Irish cream
- ice, to taste
- nutmeg, to taste, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 –Place a martini glass in the freezer and let it chill for at least 5 minutes.
Step 2 –Place some of the chocolate syrup in a dish large enough to accommodate the rim of the glass. Dip the rim of the chilled glass into the chocolate syrup and sprinkle it with some of the grated chocolate.
Step 3 –In a cocktail shaker, add the vanilla vodka, the crème de cacao, the chocolate liqueur, the heavy cream, and the ice and shake vigorously, about 15 seconds.
Step 4 –Strain into the prepared glass.
Step 5 –Serve the drink garnished with more of the grated chocolate and the nutmeg.
