Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pound lean ground beef

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –In a large bowl, combine the egg, water, breadcrumbs, onion, salt, and pepper.

Step 3 –Break the ground beef into chunks, then add the chunks to the bowl.

Step 4 –Mix gently, but thoroughly, with your hands to combine. Don’t overmix.

Step 5 –Form the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter.

Step 6 –Place the meatballs on a broiler pan or a pan with sides topped with a wire rack.

Step 7 –Bake until the meatballs register 165 degrees F on a meat thermometer, about 25-30 minutes.

Step 8 –Serve warm.
