Allow us to present the Classic Tater Tot Bake. Whether you have children, an empty nest, or a party for one, you’ll find delight in this saucy ground beef, veggie-loaded, melted cheese upon cheese, crispy tater-tot-topped trip down memory lane! Relish the days gone by with this fabulously timeless Classic Tater Tot Bake.
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 (10.5-ounce) cans cream of chicken and mushroom soup
- 1 (16-ounce) bag frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 (15.25-ounce) can corn, drained
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded, divided
- 1 (2-pound) bag frozen tater tots
Directions
Step 1 –In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef, the salt, the black pepper, the garlic, and the onion powder and cook, while crumbling the meat, until the beef is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain the excess grease.
Step 2 –Add the cream of chicken and mushroom soup, the mixed vegetables, the drained corn, and the milk to the ground beef mixture and stir to combine.
Step 3 –Evenly transfer the ground beef mixture to a 9×13-inch baking pan.
Step 4 –Evenly sprinkle 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the ground beef mixture layer.
Step 5 –Evenly add the tater tots to the top of the shredded cheddar cheese layer.
Step 6 –Bake, uncovered, until hot and bubbly, about 45 minutes.
Step 7 –Evenly add the remaining shredded cheddar cheese to the top of the baked ground beef mixture and bake until the cheese has melted, about 5 minutes.
Step 8 –Serve.
