Ingredients
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 (12.4-ounce) tube refrigerated cinnamon rolls plus the icing, cut in half
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Directions
Step 1 –Use the proper materials needed to start a strong, hot campfire.
Step 2 –In a small bowl, add the granulated sugar and the cinnamon and mix to combine.
Step 3 –Pour the icing into a resealable plastic bag.
Step 4 –Roll each of the cinnamon roll halves into 6-inch, rope-like sticks.
Step 5 –Tightly wrap each of the cinnamon sticks around a long, metal or wooden skewer about 1/2-inch from the pointed end, pinching each of the ends to secure. If using wooden skewers, make sure to soak them in water first to prevent them from burning.
Step 6 –Cook each of the cinnamon sticks over the hot campfire, stirring occasionally, until they are golden-brown, about 5 minutes.
Step 7 –Use a pastry brush to coat the cinnamon sticks with the melted butter, then sprinkle with the sugar mixture.
Step 8 –Cut a small hole in the bottom corner of the icing-filled bag and drizzle it over the cinnamon sticks.
Step 9 –Serve.
