Ah the summer classic combination of oranges and cream, all bundled into the Creamy Orange Fruit Salad! The vibrant tang of the orange and the smooth rich cream are both enhanced with cottage cheese, tropical coconut and pineapples, and just a little orange gelatin to really round out the taste! This might be a salad, but Creamy Orange Fruit Salad tastes like a dream!

  • 1 (3-ounce) package orange gelatin mix
  • 16 ounces cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup sweetened coconut flakes
  • 1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained very well
  • 2 (15-ounce) cans mandarin oranges, drained very well
  • 1 (8-ounce) container frozen whipped topping
  • maraschino cherries, to taste, for garnish


Step 1 –Mix the orange gelatin mix, the cottage cheese, and the coconut flakes in a large bowl until well-combined.

Step 2 –Using a silicone spatula, gently mix in the pineapples and the oranges.

Step 3 –Gently mix in the frozen whipped topping.

Step 4 –Transfer the fruit salad to a large serving bowl or several portion-sized bowls or glasses.

Step 5 –Garnish with the maraschino cherries and serve chilled.
