Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 4 slices Swiss or mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- rice, to taste, cooked and warm, for serving
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Step 2 –Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 3 –Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and place them on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Step 4 –Place 1 slice of the Swiss cheese on top of each of the chicken breasts.
Step 5 –In a medium bowl, add the mayonnaise, the sour cream, 1/2 cup of the parmesan cheese, the salt, the black pepper, and the garlic powder and stir to combine.
Step 6 –Evenly spread the mayonnaise mixture over the top of the cheese-topped chicken breasts.
Step 7 –Sprinkle the remaining parmesan cheese on top of the mayonnaise mixture.
Step 8 –Bake the chicken breasts until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, about 1 hour.
Step 9 –Serve the chicken breasts over the cooked rice.
