Ingredients
- 1 medium head cabbage, shredded
- 1 large red onion, diced
- 1 cup carrots, grated
- 2 stalks of celery, chopped
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon dry mustard
- black pepper, to taste
Directions
Step 1 –In a large bowl, combine the cabbage, onion, carrots, and celery.
Step 2 –Sprinkle the vegetables with the white sugar, mixing well.
Step 3 –In a small saucepan, combine the vinegar, oil, salt, dry mustard, the pepper.
Step 4 –Bring the vinegar mixture to a boil.
Step 5 –Pour the hot dressing over the cabbage mixture, mixing well.
Step 6 –Serve.
