  • 1 (12-ounce) package egg noodles, uncooked
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 4 ounces cream cheese
  • 12 ounces cottage cheese
  • 1 (8-ounce) container sour cream
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste


Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Cook the egg noodles to al dente according to the package directions. Drain.

Step 3 –While the noodles are cooking, in a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef and the onion while crumbling, until the meat is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.

Step 4 –Reduce the heat to low and add the tomato sauce to the meat mixture, stirring well, and simmering for 1 minute.

Step 5 –Add the cream cheese and the cottage cheese to the meat sauce mixture, stirring together until well blended.

Step 6 –Stir the cooked egg noodles and the sour cream into the meat sauce mixture until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Step 7 –Pour the casserole mixture into a 13×9-inch casserole dish.
