Ingredients
- 1 (8-ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
- 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, divided
- 1 (21-ounce) can cherry pie filling
- 1 (13.25-ounce) package yellow cake mix
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, cut into 1/4-inch pieces

Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F.
Step 2 –Coat a 9×13-inch glass baking dish with cooking spray.
Step 3 –Unroll the crescent rolls into the prepared baking dish, pinching the seams together to form a crust.
Step 4 –In a bowl, add the cream cheese, the granulated sugar, and the vanilla extract and beat to combine.
Step 5 –Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crescent roll crust.
Step 6 –Sprinkle the brown sugar and 1 teaspoon of the cinnamon over the cream cheese mixture layer.
Step 7 –Pour the cherry pie filling over the brown sugar-cinnamon layer.
Step 8 –Sprinkle the cake mix over the cherry filling layer.
Step 9 –Arrange the butter slices sporadically over the cake mix layer.
Step 10 –Top the butter layer with the remaining cinnamon.
Step 11 –Bake until it is cooked through, about 1 hour. If you’re worried about the bottom burning, wrap a piece of aluminum foil under the baking dish.
