  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 3 pounds top sirloin, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
  • sea salt, to taste
  • freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 cups reduced-sodium beef broth
  • 4 cups rice, optional, cooked


Step 1 –In a Dutch oven over medium-high heat, add the oil.

Step 2 –Season the beef tips with the salt, the pepper, the Italian seasoning, and the cumin.

Step 3 –Add the seasoned beef tips to the hot pan and cook until they are brown.

Step 4 –Add the onion, the bell pepper, and the mushrooms to the beef and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 5 –Reduce the heat to low and add the garlic to the steak and veggies and cook for about 1 minute.

Step 6 –Add the Worcestershire sauce and the beef broth to the steak and veggies and let it simmer until the steak has reached an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees F and the veggies are tender, about 1 hour.
