  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (28-ounce) jar spaghetti sauce, divided into thirds
  • 1 (25-ounce) package frozen sausage or cheese ravioli, divided
  • 1 1/2 cups part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded, divided into thirds
  • fresh basil, to taste, minced, for serving

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 2 –Grease a 2 1/2-quart baking dish.

Step 3 –In a large oven-safe skillet, cook the beef while crumbing, over medium heat, until it is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain the beef.

Step 4 –In the prepared baking dish, layer 1/3 of the spaghetti sauce, 1/2 of the ravioli, 1/2 of the beef, and 1/3 of the cheese.

Step 5 –Repeat the layers with 1/3 of the spaghetti sauce, the remaining ravioli, the remaining beef, and 1/3 of the cheese.

Step 6 –Top the lasagna with the remaining sauce and the remaining cheese.

Step 7 –Cover the lasagna and bake until heated through, about 40-45 minutes.

Step 8 –Sprinkle the basil over the top of the lasagna.
