Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 (17.5-ounce) tubes cinnamon rolls, plus the icing packets
  • 1/2 cup pecans, finely chopped
  • confectioners’ sugar, optional, to taste, for topping
  • maple syrup, optional, to taste, for topping

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Use the melted butter to generously coat a 9×12-inch baking dish.

Step 3 –In a large bowl, add the eggs, the heavy whipping cream, the flour, the cinnamon, the nutmeg, and the vanilla extract and beat with an electric hand mixer until well-combined.

Step 4 –Use a sharp knife to slice each of the cinnamon rolls into 8 triangular pieces.

Step 5 –Add the cinnamon roll pieces to the egg mixture and toss thoroughly to coat.

Step 6 –Evenly pour the coated cinnamon roll pieces and the remaining egg mixture into the prepared baking dish, brushing the egg mixture over the cinnamon roll pieces to ensure everything is well-coated.

Step 7 –Evenly sprinkle the pecans over the cinnamon roll mixture.

Step 8 –Bake the cinnamon roll mixture until it is light golden-brown and the middle pieces of the cinnamon roll mixture are set, about 18-25 minutes.

Step 9 –Transfer the cinnamon roll bake to a wire rack.

Step 10 –In a small bowl, add the icing packets and microwave until warm, about 15 seconds.
