Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup milk, plus more, to taste
- 8 ounces fettuccine noodles
- kosher salt, to taste
- freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup parmesan, freshly grated
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley leaves, chopped
Directions
Step 1 –In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter.
Step 2 –Add the garlic to the melted butter and cook, stirring frequently, until it is fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
Step 3 –Stir the chicken broth, 1 cup of the milk, and the fettuccine into the garlic-butter.
Step 4 –Season the fettucine mixture with the salt and the pepper, then bring it to a boil.
Step 5 –Reduce the heat and simmer the fettuccine, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente, about 18-20 minutes.
Step 6 –Stir the parmesan into the fettuccine mixture. If it is too thick, add enough of the extra milk, a little at a time, to reach the desired consistency.
Step 7 –Immediately serve the fettuccine mixture, garnished with the parsley.
