Layers of savory chicken, crisp bacon, and a creamy, rich, and zesty ranch sauce in between all those tender noodles and melty cheese? Sounds like a touchdown! End Zone Lasagna is the celebration dance of dinners!
Ingredients
For the sauce:
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 3 cups heavy cream
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 1 (1-ounce) package ranch dressing mix
- 1 chicken bouillon, crushed
For the lasagna:
- 9 lasagna noodles, cooked according to package directions
- 6 cups chicken breast, cooked and chopped
- 2 1/4 cups bacon, cooked and chopped
- 3 cups cheddar cheese, grated
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 –Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Step 3 –In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
Step 4 –Add the flour to the butter and cook, while whisking, until the raw flour smell dissipates, about 1 minute.
Step 5 –Add the heavy cream, the milk, the ranch dressing mix, and the bouillon to the butter mixture and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture comes to a boil.
Step 6 –Lay 3 of the noodles in the bottom of the prepared baking dish, then evenly spread 2 cups of the chicken over them.
Step 7 –Sprinkle 3/4 cup of the bacon over the chicken.
Step 8 –Pour about 1/3 of the sauce over the bacon layer.
Step 9 –Sprinkle 1 cup of the cheese over the sauce layer.
Step 10 –Repeat the layers twice.
Step 11 –Bake the lasagna until it is heated through, about 45 minutes.
Step 12 –Serve.
