Ingredients
- 1 (8-ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 medium apple, peeled and cored, cut into 8 wedges
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
- 4 tablespoons light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 teaspoon apple pie spice or ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup ginger ale or lemon-lime soft drink
- vanilla ice cream, to taste, for serving

Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 –Coat a 9-inch pie plate with cooking spray.
Step 3 –Separate the crescent roll dough into the 8 perforated triangles.
Step 4 –Place the apple wedges onto the wide edges of the dough triangles.
Step 5 –Roll the dough triangles up, then place them into the prepared pie plate.
Step 6 –In a small bowl, whisk the melted butter, the brown sugar, the apple pie spice, and the vanilla extract together.
Step 7 –Pour the butter mixture over the dough rolls.
Step 8 –Pour the ginger ale around the edges of the rolls. Do not pour it directly on top of them.
Step 9 –Bake the apple dumpling bake until it turns deep golden-brown, about 30 minutes.
Step 10 –Allow the apple dumpling bake to stand for 10 minutes.
Step 11 –Serve the apple dumpling bake warm with the vanilla ice cream.
