Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 tablespoons fajita seasoning mix
- 2 teaspoons canola oil
- 1 medium onion, halved and sliced
- 1 medium green pepper, cut into thin strips
- 1 medium red sweet pepper, cut into thin strips
- 4 (10-inch) flour tortillas
- 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Directions
Step 1 –In a large bowl, combine the beef and the fajita seasoning mix.
Step 2 –Shape the beef mixture into four 1/2-inch-thick patties.
Step 3 –In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat.
Step 4 –Add the burgers to the oil and cook for 4 minutes on each side.
Step 5 –Transfer the patties from the pan.
Step 6 –In the same skillet, add the onion, the green pepper, and the red pepper and cook, stirring, until the veggies are lightly browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
Step 7 –On the center of each tortilla, place 1/2 cup of the pepper mixture, 1 burger, and 3 tablespoons of the cheese.
