Coffee and fall just go together. It’s cold outside, so naturally you want something warm inside your cup. You know what else goes well with the crisp season? Pumpkin! Oh, and desserts (but honestly, that’s every season). Fall Tiramisu encompasses all your fall favorites and turns them into one delightfully fluffy treat. Yum! Layers of coffee-infused, chocolate-dipped ladyfingers are piled high with a creamy, pumpkin-y, mascarpone-based concoction that will have you even more excited for autumn than you already were. Ingredients
- 1 (3.5-ounce) milk or dark chocolate bar, coarsely chopped, plus more, to taste, grated
- 1 1/2 cups hot coffee
- 6 tablespoons bourbon, divided
- 1 1/2 cups mascarpone
- 1 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 2/3 cup heavy cream
- 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup canned pumpkin purée
- 3 (3-ounce) packages soft Italian ladyfingers
- 1 1/2 cups whipped cream, for serving
Directions
Step 1 –In a large bowl, add 1 of the chopped chocolate bars.
Step 2 –Pour the hot coffee over the chocolate and whisk until the chocolate has melted.
Step 3 –Whisk 4 tablespoons of the bourbon into the chocolate mixture.
Step 4 –In another large bowl, add the mascarpone, the confectioners’ sugar, the heavy cream, the vanilla, the pumpkin pie spice, the cinnamon, the pumpkin purée, and the remaining bourbon and use an electric hand mixer to beat until the mixture is fluffy.
Step 5 –Quickly dip 9 of the ladyfingers into the chocolate mixture, then place them at the bottom of six glasses, using 3 cookies per glass.
Step 6 –Evenly divide 1/3 of the pumpkin mixture and spoon it over the ladyfingers. Sprinkle with some of the extra grated chocolate.
Step 7 –Repeat the layers once, starting with the dipped ladyfingers and ending with the grated chocolate.
Step 8 –Cover the glasses and refrigerate until the tiramisu is chilled, about 4-5 hours.
Step 9 –Serve the tiramisu topped with the whipped cream and more of the extra grated chocolate.
