It’s hard to beat the freshness and flavor of homemade guacamole! Fresh Guacamole is creamy and full of delicious textures, perfect for serving as a dip or as a complement to your favorite Mexican dish! Avocados are mashed and mixed with crunchy onions, savory garlic, herby cilantro, and tangy lime juice for a creamy and zesty bite. For some spice, you can add some jalapeño and cumin into the Fresh Guacamole; it’s the dip that you can customize to your heart’s desire! So get dipping!
Ingredients
- 3 medium avocados
- 2 tablespoons onions, minced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 small jalapeño, optional, seeded and minced
- 1/4 cup cilantro leaves, minced
- salt, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin, optional
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- tortilla chips, to taste, for serving
Directions
Step 1 –Carefully cut the avocados in half and remove the pits.
Step 2 –Scoop out the flesh into a large bowl. Dispose of the skins.
Step 3 –Using a fork or potato masher, lightly mash the avocado. If you prefer your guacamole to be more chunky, do not fully mash all of the avocados.
Step 4 –Add the minced onions, the minced garlic, the jalapeños, the cilantro, the salt, the cumin, and the lime juice and mix until just combined.
Step 5 –Add more of the salt, as needed.
Step 6 –Serve with the tortilla chips!
