Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cups chicken broth, plus more, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 pound spaghetti
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons dried parsley
  • fresh parsley, to taste, chopped, for garnish

Directions

Step 1 –Heat the olive oil in a medium pan over medium heat.

Step 2 –Add the garlic to the oil and stir until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

Step 3 –Add the butter to the garlic mixture and cook, stirring constantly, until melted.

Step 4 –Add 3 cups of the chicken broth, the salt, and the pepper to the garlic mixture and bring to a boil.

Step 5 –Add the spaghetti to the broth mixture and cook, stirring occasionally, until al dente, about 12 minutes. Add the extra chicken broth if the pasta sticks to the pan.

Step 6 –Add the parmesan cheese, the heavy cream, and the dried parsley to the spaghetti and mix until thoroughly combined.

Step 7 –Serve the spaghetti garnished with the fresh parsley.
