Ingredients
- 1-2 tablespoons coconut oil or butter, optional
- 1 1/2 cups uncooked steel cut oats
- 6 cups water
- 2 cups milk, of your choice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice
- 2 tablespoons molasses or maple syrup
Directions
Step 1 –In a slow cooker, add all of the ingredients and stir well to combine.
Step 2 –Cover the slow cooker and cook until the flavors are melded together and the oats are tender, about 4 hours on high and 6-8 hours on low.
Step 3 –Serve.
