Gingerbread Man Oatmeal

You’ll be running as fast as you can to the breakfast table to get yourself a helping or two of Gingerbread Man Oatmeal! The tender oats are slow-cooked with classic gingerbread spices that add sweetness and spice to each bite, making for a delightfully warming flavor that makes the hearty oats even more filling and fantastic! This is the perfect winter wake-up meal without a doubt. Gingerbread Man Oatmeal is the stuff of fairytales!

Ingredients

  • 1-2 tablespoons coconut oil or butter, optional
  • 1 1/2 cups uncooked steel cut oats
  • 6 cups water
  • 2 cups milk, of your choice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 2 tablespoons molasses or maple syrup

Directions

Step 1 –In a slow cooker, add all of the ingredients and stir well to combine.

Step 2 –Cover the slow cooker and cook until the flavors are melded together and the oats are tender, about 4 hours on high and 6-8 hours on low.

Step 3 –Serve.
