Ingredients
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 cup frozen corn

Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 –In an 8-inch square baking pan, add the butter. Place it in the oven just until it melts.
Step 3 –In a bowl, add the flour, the cornmeal, the sugar, the baking powder, and the salt and stir to combine.
Step 4 –Stir the egg and the milk into the cornmeal mixture until they are just combined.

Step 5 –Stir the frozen corn into the batter.
Step 6 –Spoon the batter into the prepared pan and evenly spread it out.
Step 7 –Bake the cornbread until it is golden, about 30 minutes.
Step 8 –Slice and serve.
