Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 pound cavatappi pasta, cooked according to package instructions
- 3 cups cheddar cheese, freshly shredded
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 –Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
Step 2 –Add in the ground beef and cook until the beef is no longer pink, about 5-6 minutes.
Step 3 –In a small mixing bowl, add together the salt, the paprika, the garlic salt, the onion powder, the black pepper, and the red pepper, mixing until well combined.
Step 4 –Sprinkle the spice mixture over the ground beef, stirring to make sure the spices are evenly incorporated.
Step 5 –In a medium-sized mixing bowl, add the beef broth, milk, and cornstarch, mixing it with a whisk until smooth.
Step 6 –Pour the beef broth mixture into the same skillet as the ground beef, mixing to incorporate it completely.
Step 7 –Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring every once in a while until it has thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 8 –Add in the cooked pasta and the shredded cheddar cheese.
Step 9 –Sprinkle with the freshly chopped parsley and serve.
