Harvest Creamed Corn

It features those juicy kernels you love so much, plus a little bit of creaminess and a whole lot of cheesiness. Yum! Ingredients

  • 1 (16-ounce) package frozen corn kernels, rinsed
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese

Directions

Step 1 –Place the corn in a stockpot or Dutch oven.

Step 2 –Heat the milk in a microwave for 25 seconds, then whisk in the cornstarch.

Step 3 –Stir the cornstarch mixture, the butter, the salt, the pepper, and the sugar into the corn.

Step 4 –Over medium heat, cook the corn mixture until it is heated through and the milk mixture has thickened, about 6-8 minutes.

Step 5 –Stir the parmesan cheese into the corn mixture until it has melted and coats the corn.

Step 6 –Serve hot.
