For the chicken:

  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 3/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 4 (6-ounce) chicken breast halves, boneless, skinless
  • 3 tablespoons butter

For the honey butter:

  • 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup honey


Step 1 –Place the egg in a shallow bowl.

Step 2 –In another shallow bowl, combine the bread crumbs, parsley flakes, Italian seasoning, garlic salt, and poultry seasoning.

Step 3 –Dip the chicken in the egg and then in the bread crumb mixture, making sure each chicken breast half is coated thoroughly.

Step 4 –Heat a large cast-iron or another heavy skillet over medium heat.

Step 5 –Add 3 tablespoons of butter.

Step 6 –Cook the chicken in the melted butter until the chicken reaches 165 degrees F internally, about 4-5 minutes.

Step 7 –Combine the remaining butter with the honey.

Step 8 –Serve the chicken with the honey butter.
