Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons whole grain Dijon mustard
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 4 (6 ounces) chicken breasts, boneless and skinless

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

Step 2 –Line a 8×8-inch baking pan with foil.

Step 3 –Put the empty pan in the hot oven to heat it up while the glaze is prepared.

Step 4 –Next, melt the butter into a saute pan over medium heat.

Step 5 –Add in the garlic and cook it until fragrant and softened, about 30-60 seconds. Try not to brown the garlic

Step 6 –Add in the honey, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper, mixing it well to blend.

Step 7 –Simmer the mixture over a medium heat until it begins to reduce, about 1-2 minutes.

Step 8 –Lightly season the chicken with salt and pepper.

Step 9 –Remove the hot pan out from the oven and place the chicken breasts in the pan, keeping them an equal distance from each other.

Step 10 –Pour the hot glaze evenly over the chicken.

Step 11 –Return the pan into the oven and bake for about 15 minutes, before removing it from the oven to baste the chicken breasts with the glaze in the bottom of the pan.

Step 12 –Return the chicken to the oven until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the chicken reads 165 degrees F, about 15-20 minutes.

Step 13 –Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
