- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 1/2 pounds chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons stone-ground or whole-grain mustard
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon butter
Directions
Step 1 –Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
Step 2 –While the skillet is heating, in a small dish, combine the smoked paprika, the garlic powder, and the salt.
Step 3 –In the hot skillet, add the oil and swirl to coat the surface.
Step 4 –Add the chicken thighs to the oil and cook on each side until they reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees F and are well-browned, about 5 minutes on each side.
Step 5 –Place the cooked chicken thighs on a clean plate.
Step 6 –In the same skillet, add the chicken broth and stir to loosen any of the browned bits from the bottom.
Step 7 –Bring the broth to a simmer and cook until it has reduced by half, about 5 minutes.
Step 8 –Add the mustard, the honey, and the butter to the chicken broth and stir until the butter has melted and all the ingredients have combined together.
Step 9 –Add the chicken thighs and their juices back to the sauce and bring to a simmer. Spoon the sauce over the meat.
Step 10 –Serve.
