Ingredients
For the fries:
- 1 (32-ounce) bag frozen french fries
For the cheese sauce:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
Toppings:
- 1/2 pound bacon, cooked, crumbled
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 4 green onions, chopped

Directions
Step 1 –Bake the french fries according to the package directions.
Step 2 –In a small saucepan, melt the butter.
Step 3 –Whisk the flour into the butter and cook, while whisking, until the raw flour smell disappears, about 1 minute.
Step 4 –Slowly add the milk to the flour mixture and cook, while stirring, until the mixture thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.
Step 5 –Transfer the sauce from the heat and stir the cheese in until completely melted and thoroughly combined.
Step 6 –Season the sauce with the salt and the pepper.
Step 7 –Immediately drizzle the baked fries with the cheese sauce.
Step 8 –Sprinkle the fries with the bacon and drizzle with the sour cream.
Step 9 –Sprinkle the fries with the green onions.
Step 10 –Serve.
