For the hot chocolate:

  • 4 cups 2% or whole milk
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 drops blue food coloring

Optional, for serving:

  • whipped cream, to taste
  • purple sprinkles, to taste
  • blue rock candy sticks, to taste


Step 1 –In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the milk and heat until it starts to steam.

Step 2 –Turn the stovetop heat off.

Step 3 –Add the white chocolate chips, the vanilla extract, and the blue food coloring to the steamed milk and whisk until the chocolate has melted.

Step 4 –Evenly pour the hot chocolate into four mugs and top with the whipped cream, the purple sprinkles, and the blue rock candy sticks.

Step 5 –Serve immediately.
