Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 6 1/4 cups wide egg noodles, cooked and drained
- 2 (10.75-ounce) cans condensed tomato soup
- 1 (10.5-ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- green onions, optional, to taste, sliced, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 –Grease a 3-quart baking dish.
Step 3 –In a large skillet, cook the beef over medium heat, while crumbling, until it is no longer pink, about 8-10 minutes.
Step 4 –Drain the fat from the skillet.
Step 5 –Transfer the beef from the skillet.
Step 6 –In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Step 7 –Add the onions and the peppers, cooking and stirring until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
Step 8 –Stir in the beef, the Worcestershire sauce, the noodles, the tomato soup, and the cream of mushroom soup.
Step 9 –Transfer the beef mixture to the prepared baking dish.
Step 10 –Top the beef mixture with the cheese.
Step 11 –Bake uncovered until heated through, about 15-20 minutes.
Step 12 –Garnish with the green onions and serve.
