Ingredients
For the lemon-orange cake:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons orange zest
- 2 tablespoons lemon zest
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/4 cups white sugar
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 3/4 cup milk
- 5 eggs
For the lemon-honey glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Directions
Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Step 2 –Spray a Bundt™ pan generously with nonstick cooking spray.
Step 3 –In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, the baking powder, the baking soda, and the salt.
Step 4 –Add the orange and the lemon zest, stirring to combine.
Step 5 –Using an electric stand mixer with the paddle attachment, cream together the butter and the sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Step 6 –Add the 1/2 cup of the lemon juice, the orange juice, the eggs, and the milk to the butter mixture, stirring to combine.
Step 7 –Slowly add the flour mixture and blend until the batter is smooth.
Step 8 –Transfer the batter into the prepared pan and into the oven.
Step 9 –Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 50 minutes-1 hour.
Step 10 –Transfer the cake to a wire rack to cool.
Step 11 –In a small mixing bowl, whisk the powdered sugar, the honey, and the remaining lemon juice together.
Step 12 –Drizzle the lemon-honey glaze over the cooled cake and serve!
