Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 5 tablespoons flour
  • 2 (20-ounce) cans pineapple chunks, drained, with 6 tablespoons of the juice reserved
  • 1 cup white cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 32 buttery round crackers, crushed
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –In a medium bowl, combine the sugar, the flour, and the reserved pineapple juice.

Step 3 –Add the pineapple chunks to the flour mixture and toss well to combine.

Step 4 –Spoon the pineapple mixture into an 8×8-inch casserole dish.

Step 5 –Top the casserole dish with the shredded cheese.

Step 6 –Combine the crackers and the melted butter in a bowl.

Step 7 –Spread the cracker mixture on top of the pineapple mixture.

Step 8 –Bake the casserole until bubbly, about 30 minutes.

Step 9 –Serve.
