No-Bake Nutella® Pie. Doesn’t that just sound like a dream? It certainly looks and tastes like something that would appear in the best dreams: a crisp, crumbly chocolate crust supporting an impossibly creamy chocolate filling with hints of lightly nutty hazelnuts, tangy cream cheese, and the impossible richness of heavy cream and chocolate pudding. The fact that you really don’t need to involve the oven at all makes this dessert all the sweeter. No-Bake Nutella Pie brings all the magic of fantasy to life… and to the dessert table!
Ingredients
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 (13-ounce) jar Nutella
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 (3.4-ounce) box instant chocolate pudding
- 1 (6-ounce) pre-packaged chocolate cookies and creme pie crust
- whipped topping, optional, to taste, for garnish
- mini-chocolate chips or chocolate shavings, optional, to taste, for garnish
Directions
Step 1 –In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the cream cheese and the Nutella until creamy and fully combined, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 2 –Pour the heavy cream and the pudding mix into the Nutella mixture and beat with an electric mixer on low speed. Slowly increase the speed to medium until smooth and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
Step 3 –Gently scoop the Nutella filling into the pie crust and spread it out evenly with a spatula.
Step 4 –Loosely wrap the pie in plastic wrap and chill until set, at least 4 hours and up to overnight.
Step 5 –Use a piping bag with a medium tip to pipe the whipped topping on top of the chilled pie.
Step 6 –Sprinkle the whipped-cream-piped-pie with the mini chocolate chips.
Step 7 –Slice and serve.
