  • 4 tablespoons taco seasoning
  • 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, or Mexican blend, shredded
  • cilantro, optional, to taste, chopped, for garnish

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Sprinkle the taco seasoning evenly over both sides of each piece of the chicken.

Step 3 –Place the chicken in a baking dish.

Step 4 –Pour the salsa over the chicken.

Step 5 –Bake until the chicken is cooked through at 165 degrees F, about 25-30 minutes.

Step 6 –Sprinkle the chicken with the cheddar cheese.

Step 7 –Bake until the cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.

Step 8 –Garnish with the cilantro and serve.
