Party Pizza Wraps are quesadillas taken to a whole new place… Italy, to be exact! Wrap pepperoni, mozzarella, and pizza sauce in a tortilla, fold it up, and pan-fry it until golden and you have a sumptuous, savory, can’t-find-this-in-a-cardboard-box flavor that will leave you stunned. Party Pizza Wraps may only make enough for two, but with a taste like this, the party has truly begun!
Ingredients
- 2 large flour tortillas
- 3 tablespoons jarred marinara or pizza sauce, plus more, to taste, for serving
- 16 pepperoni slices
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
- olive oil, to taste
Directions
Step 1 –Lay the tortillas out and make a cut in each going from the center of the tortilla to the bottom.
Step 2 –Working with 1 of the tortillas at a time, in the lower left quarter, evenly spread 1 1/2 tablespoons of the marinara sauce.
Step 3 –In the upper left quarter of the tortilla, place a layer of 1/2 of the pepperoni.
Step 4 –In the upper right quarter, evenly add a layer of 1/4 of the cheese.
Step 5 –In the lower right quarter, evenly add a layer of 1/4 of the cheese.
Step 6 –Repeat the same process with the remaining tortilla using 1 1/2 tablespoons of the marinara sauce, the remaining pepperoni, and the remaining mozzarella, making sure to place each ingredient in their proper quarter.
Step 7 –Working with 1 of the tortillas, fold the lower left quarter up, then fold across to the right, then fold down. The tortillas should now be thick triangles.
Step 8 –Repeat the same process with the remaining tortilla.
Step 9 –Brush both sides of each of the tortillas with the olive oil.
Step 10 –In a skillet over medium heat, pan-fry the wraps until the cheese is melted and the outside is golden-brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.
Step 11 –Serve with the extra marinara sauce.
