Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup whole-wheat flour or all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips

Directions

Step 1 –Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2 –Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper.

Step 3 –In a large bowl, add the rolled oats, the peanut butter, and the brown sugar and use an electric mixer on high speed to mix until well-combined.

Step 4 –Add the milk and the vanilla to the oat mixture and mix until well-combined.

Step 5 –In a medium bowl, add the flour, the baking soda, and the salt and whisk until combined.

Step 6 –Add the flour mixture to the oat mixture and mix until well-combined.

Step 7 –Fold the chocolate chips into the bar mixture.

Step 8 –Press the bar mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Step 9 –Bake the bars, about 18-20 minutes.

Step 10 –Transfer the bars to a wire rack to let cool.
